Terms of Service
Last updated: January 2026
Agreement
By accessing or using HashPaste (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What the Service Is
HashPaste is a browser-only tool for generating shareable text links. When you create a paste,
your content is encoded into the URL fragment (the part after #) and is handled locally by your browser.
Important: HashPaste is not a hosted paste-storage service. We do not receive or store your paste contents. If you lose a link, we cannot recover it.
Your Responsibilities
You agree that you are responsible for:
• The content you create, view, or share using the Service
• Keeping any passwords you choose to use secure
• Sharing passwords separately and safely (if you use encryption)
• Complying with all applicable laws and regulations
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
• Break the law or encourage illegal activity
• Share content that infringes intellectual property rights
• Distribute malware, phishing links, or harmful instructions intended to cause real-world harm
• Attempt to disrupt, probe, or abuse the Service or its infrastructure
Because pastes can be shared via URLs, please use caution: anyone with the link may be able to access the content, and URLs can be forwarded or leaked.
Privacy
Our privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy. In short, the Service is designed so paste content is not sent to us.
Availability & Changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms, and changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
No Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including (but not limited to) fitness for a particular purpose, reliability, availability, or non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that links will work in all browsers, that data will remain accessible, or that URLs will not be truncated by third-party apps or services.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HashPaste and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the Service.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HashPaste and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
